Suzhou Museum
The wonderful Suzhou Museum located in Suzhou City, was designed by Pei with Pei Partnership Architects, this architect is noted for his large but sophisticatedly designed urban buildings and complexes. This is the latest masterpiece for his hometown, with beautiful dark gray granite, the complex white walls and the traditional garden; covering more than 10,700 square meters, the museum cost about 339 million yuan (US$42.37 million). The Suzhou Museum is divided into three main parts, the central hall, the main garden and the way in. Pei desires is to establish a contemporary form of Chinese landscape design.
