If you are a landscape photographer so you should have the free application called Photographer’s Ephemeris! This wonderful application gives the information where the sun and moon will rise and set, I can say this is a lifesaver for any landscape photographer, with that is possible to know when the sun will hit a peak and from what angle, so, being armed with this research your get the information to accomplish your goals. With Photographer’s Ephemeris you can go a step further than other photographers that not use it. The Photographer’s Ephemeris uses Google Maps as its basis, so, to start using it, you only have to type in location field your spot and Ephemeris takes you directly to your desired location; then you will see a red marker on the map indicating the spot and also lines appear on the screen indicating the direction of sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset. I recommend this free program for any landscape photographer! This a free a application and it’s powered by Adobe Air, which is also a free download from Adobe. It is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, is also available for a small fee for iOS from ITunes. Note: Install Adobe AIR first, then run the TPE Installer.
