A new way to translate a text from a picture: Google Goggles
on May 8, 2010 at 12:41 pmThis is another example what Google can do; always focusing to their applications and services, adding new functions like this one! This is an interesting feature of Google Goggles, the application Google for Android allows the software be able to recognize text in photos and translate it in over 50 languages. Simply launch the Google Goggles application and take a picture of the text you want to translate, then Google will provide the option to translate. Goggles can read English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish and can translate many more languages. Well, another feature is, to point your phone’s camera at anything and getting information about it.
Android’s Goggles app, is already in the Market, Goggles gets both new language translation skills and a crop function that makes Goggles a lot easier to use when pinning down something in particular. The Goggles update is available for Android phones running at least Android 1.6.
