Sand sculptures are indeed extraordinary works of art, makes me think of all the hard work and time the artists must have to put all details into them, it’s fabulous! These pictures show the sand sculptures art for the FIESA 2009 (7th International Sand Sculpture Festival), in Pera, Algarve, Portugal. This festival is considered the biggest festival of sand sculpture in the world. The theme for this year are the “Discoveries”. This festival has 60 sculptors, 35 thousand tons of sand, spread over 15,000 square meters. This festival should be unique, indeed! Check this out!
